Getting back on the life drawing
Done! Looks better, texture and Normal map all on one file each, reduced polygon count.
Almost there! There’s a reason some parts of the model look flat. They weren’t transfer mapped… Time to transfer map them and call it day with this model. I’ve managed to get so many things wrong while making this model that I can’t get them wrong on the next… I hope

Ok so problem solved! no more crap normal map. Basically don’t overlap your UV’s unless you enjoy giving yourself a hard time! Now I can attempt to finish this model’s UV mapping and feel like I’ve done this at least close to what would be expected of me in the gaming industry!
Finally done a bit of life drawing for the first time in ages!

Zbrush painting on my skull model because I felt like it!
Since the defibrillator I made had almost 20 different texture files (not how it should be done) I decided to get all the separate peices onto one UV map ready for transfer mapping…. 2 pieces later It’s all going a bit wrong!
Alien skull thing!!!! Perhaps I should get back to my level design now…
Since all I seem to mostly draw is skulls I’ve modelled one in Zbrush instead. This could be a fun way to learn some anatomy :)
Finally done to a reasonable standard! Although had to stick with rubbish UV mapping just to get the transfer map not looking like ass!
This is what seems to happen when you make a UV map as efficient as possible ready for transfer mapping….. it goes tits! :/ any ideas why?
Zbrush! Now I actually have to get good at it!
Been working on some props for a hospital scene. Once this damn visual cultures essay is done I can remodel and finish this defibrillator!
